Liberty Ridge Advisors Announces the Sale of Bend Plating, Inc.
SEATTLE, WA – Liberty Ridge Advisors, LLC announced today that Quaker City Plating (“QCP”), based in Whittier, California, has acquired Bend Plating, Inc. (“BPI”), based in Bend, Oregon. Liberty Ridge Advisors acted as the exclusive advisor to Bend Plating.
Quaker City Plating is a global leader in taking high-end specialty components from concept to full-scale production. With more than 300 employees, the Company is the largest and most diverse plating and manufacturing company serving the automotive, commercial, rapid prototyping and part manufacturing industries. Today, QCP continues to invest in advanced equipment and technology to serve clients whose needs are as diverse as their industries. Founded in 1980, Bend Plating is a premier metal plating company serving a variety of industries. The Company offers manual, robotic and automated polishing services. BPI Is one of the few plating companies that offer plating services in addition to polishing services utilizing robots and automated polishing techniques. In addition to plating, BPI also provides physical vapor deposition “PVD” coating to customers. PVD coatings improve hardness as well as wear, temperature, impact, and oxidation resistance. The Company’s PVD coatings are well-suited to several industries such as aerospace, auto, medical, firearms, and more.
Commenting on the acquisition, Michael Crain of Quaker City Plating said, “as a leading plating operation and a leader in its segment, Bend Plating will provide QCP with a presence in an attractive market and also expand our service offerings".
